Clark County Arts Commission

The primary purpose of the Clark County Arts Commission is to promote and support the arts in Clark County, Washington. The 11-member commission works to foster awareness of the arts, expand accessibility to art in public places, and support collaboration among arts patrons, artists, the business community, service groups, and cultural organizations.

The commission also supports local artists and arts groups in their efforts to secure grants and other financing and celebrates the creative talents and diverse skills of Clark County residents.

Celebration of SCULPTURE

55+ local sculptors

They will have their work on display in this 12,000 sq. foot space. The ARTScentered will host a final art talk highlighting local art history as the two speakers have connections to the area’s rich sculptural past.

• Jane Hanson will share stories of husband James Lee Hanson’s life and work. James received Clark County’s “Lifetime Achievement Award” recently for decades of iconic sculptural work.

• Martin Eichinger is an active and influential figure in the Northwest sculpting community. He is known for his bronze narrative sculptures that, as he puts it, “chronicle the eternal human pursuit of meaning, happiness, and growth”.

We will also have artists demonstrating and facilitating the making of your own sculpture!!
Also excited to welcome back Aliesha Bryan, Flamenco dancer, and her castanets!!!
