Section 10

Exhibitions & Events

Submission Guidelines

All artwork submitted for CCAC exhibitions must be the original work of the submitting artist. Artists are responsible for accurately representing the medium, dimensions, and pricing of their work. CCAC reserves the right to decline works that do not meet submission criteria or are inconsistent with the theme or standards of a given show.

Sales & Commission

CCAC may retain a commission on artwork sold through CCAC-hosted exhibitions, as specified in the call for entries for each show. Artists are responsible for collecting and remitting applicable Washington State sales tax on sold works.

Artwork Handling & Liability

CCAC takes reasonable care in handling submitted artwork; however, CCAC is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to artwork while on display or in transit. Artists are encouraged to maintain their own insurance coverage for works submitted to exhibitions.

Event Photography & Media

CCAC may capture photography and video at events for promotional and archival use. Attendees who do not wish to be photographed should notify a CCAC representative at the event.

Section 11

Code of Conduct

CCAC is committed to fostering a welcoming, inclusive, and respectful environment for all artists, members, volunteers, and visitors. We expect all participants in CCAC activities to:

  • Treat all individuals with respect and dignity, regardless of age, race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, religion, or background
  • Refrain from harassment, discrimination, or intimidation in any form
  • Communicate constructively and professionally in all CCAC settings
  • Respect the artwork, property, and creative efforts of others
  • Comply with the rules and guidelines of CCAC facilities and events
  • Honor the confidentiality of any sensitive organizational matters

Violations of this Code of Conduct may result in removal from events, suspension, or revocation of CCAC membership. Reports of misconduct can be submitted to the CCAC Board of Directors. All reports will be handled with discretion and sensitivity.

Section 12

Intellectual Property

Artists retain full copyright to their original works at all times. By submitting artwork or images to CCAC for exhibition, promotional, or archival purposes, artists grant CCAC a limited, non-exclusive license to reproduce images of the work for non-commercial purposes related to CCAC programming — including print materials, social media, and the CCAC website — unless otherwise specified in writing.

CCAC’s own name, logo, website content, and organizational materials are the intellectual property of the Clark County Arts Commission and may not be reproduced or used without prior written permission.

Section 13

Requests made within 7 days of the event may receive a partial refund or credit toward a future CCAC event, depending on circumstances. No refunds will be issued for no-shows.
